Restorative yoga brings energy and oxygen to the body through longer held, supportive deep stretches. The body and mind can completely relax, thus freeing energy to focus on healing and balance. Restorative yoga is very nurturing and supportive for the central nervous system, endocrine and respiratory system. It is highly recommended for injuries and stress related physical and mental symptons. This class will use props such as chairs, blocks and bolsters to support the student in different postures. A very important part of this class is deep, smooth breathing and learning various pranayama techniques for relieving stress and for starting to learn meditation.
