Dynamic Hatha Basics and all levels

Vinyasa Flow

We offer a variety of classes at Studio Sangha, but all based on the same foundation and moving principles. The Sun Salutation is our base for the Hatha classes. It is a foundation used widely in Yoga as a  practice to start the day, as well as a place for students to start, building strength in the legs and core, as well as opening the hips and spine while getting the breathe moving and building heat. Our classes are offered in levels, not style. Beginner’s L1, continuing students L1-2 and more advanced students come to L2. Same with the Pilates.

We teach Pilates because it targets the core which is a common weakness for a lot of people and a good transition for people coming from back injuries and in to public classes. Pilates has made the yoga so much stronger in that it targets first identifying imbalances or weakness, and stabalizing and strengthening the core as well as spinal flexibility.

Yoga uses the core but envelopes all aspects of body, mind and breathe. They are perfect compliments. Yoga is the full practice of human development, first with the body, then with the breathe and then with the mind. It strives towards the practitioner being able to sit in focused meditation.

This is the 8 Limbs of Yoga passed down through the lineages and written down by the Indian Sage, Patanjali. Studio Sangha studies and helps students understand the 8 Limbs of Yoga.

The 8th Limb being Bliss.
