Restorative Yoga and general stretch class focuses on supporting the body with props and deep breathing while going in and out of postures. This class will stretch and open the body with support of bolsters, blankets, blocks and chairs. It is not a strength building class but one more for deep relaxation and full breathing.
This is a good class for students with injuries, low immune systems, poor breathing and stress as well as continuing students wanting to deepen their practice with longer stretches.
We also introduce Yoga Nidra. Yoga Nidra deeply relaxes and rejuvinates the mind with guided meditation in Savasana, Dead Body Pose. This meditation takes students from the physical body on a journey of the breath and then in the semi and unconscious alpha state where stress and blocks can be released. It is a very healing and rejuvinating practice.
This class is open to all students of all levels.
